Case Study Brief
The Installation Challenge
The treatment plant required HDPE containment, EPDM detailing and associated pipework to be coordinated across the ponds and interfaces. Protection-layer placement and the different joint types needed material-specific quality control.
The prepared surfaces received protection geotextile and the specified lining materials. HDPE seams, EPDM details and DN110 pipe interfaces were completed using the appropriate methods, with inspections and records tied to the project scope.
Installation Sequence
Review the pond formation
Inspect supporting surfaces and confirm perimeter and pipe-interface details before material placement.
Place protection and containment materials
Deploy the protection geotextile and specified HDPE lining materials, maintaining identification and avoiding damage.
Complete EPDM and pipe interfaces
Fit the EPDM details and DN110 pipework connections to the approved arrangement, using joint methods appropriate to each material.
Inspect and hand over
Complete the specified seam and interface checks, repair identified defects and assemble the installation and acceptance records.
Field Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Checklist
Quality checks recorded on this installation.

“In-house project comment: The Mazista scope involved several materials rather than a single liner. Coordinating protection geotextile, HDPE, EPDM and pipe interfaces through one installation team kept the containment details connected.
