Overview
Geosynthetics Africa installs Tensar® geogrids in line with manufacturer guidelines and verified performance requirements for soil reinforcement and ground stabilisation.
Design Verification
All placements verified against Tensar® design drawings.
Placement Accuracy
Grid orientation checked to ±50mm against as-built markers.
Compaction Control
First lift compaction managed to prevent grid movement.
Layer Records
Photo documentation and logs per compaction layer.
QA Framework
Geogrid Installation Quality Assurance
Tensar® geogrids for soil reinforcement and base stabilisation require precise placement orientation, overlap control, and cover material compaction management. Our QA programme follows Tensar® installation guidelines and applicable BS 8006 and ASTM D6706 standards.
Geogrid QA/QC Checklist
Geogrid QA Philosophy
Design Verification
Installation drawings reviewed against Tensar® design output before deployment. Any deviation requires written approval.
Placement Accuracy
Grid orientation and placement coordinates are checked against as-built markers. Transverse and machine-direction alignment is verified.
Compaction Control
Initial cover layer compaction managed to prevent grid movement. Vibrating plate compactors restricted within 500mm of placed grid edges.
Inspection Records
Layer-by-layer photo documentation and placement logs form the as-built record.
Design-Aligned Installation
Geosynthetics Africa works directly with Tensar® design software outputs. Our installers are trained on SpectraPave4 Pro designs and can interpret deflection and bearing capacity outputs to ensure field placement matches structural intent.
