Slotted double-wall HDPE pipes for French drains, road formation, foundations, farms, sports fields and engineered collectors. GeoPipe in 75-160 mm; GeoPipe HD in 200-315 mm. Black standard, with supply, delivery, installation and QA/QC support across South Africa and Africa.

Technical Specification of GeoPipe & GeoPipe HD - HDPE Subsoil Drainage Pipes to 315 mm
GeoPipe collects groundwater through slotted double-wall HDPE pipe. Select a drainage configuration, filter and outlet to suit soil, hydraulic capacity and site loading. It serves French drains, foundation and retaining-wall drains, roads, rail, agriculture and sports fields.
GeoPipe standard drainage sizes are 75, 110 and 160 mm OD, with typical IDs 60 (±1), 90 and 137 mm. Choose 6 m lengths with 270° slots or 50 m coils with 360° slots. Nominal slot width is 2.0 mm for straight pipe and 1.3, 1.3 and 1.8 mm for coils respectively. SANS 61386-24 compression values are ≥450 N straight and ≥250 N coils at 5% ID deformation, Class N impact; these are not SN ratings.
GeoPipe HD extends collector drainage to 200, 250 and 315 mm OD with typical IDs 173, 217 and 273 mm in 6 m lengths. The Type B structured-wall base pipe is specified to SANS 21138-3 with SN8 ring stiffness (≥8 kN/m², ISO 9969). Slotting is separately specified: 120° partial at the crown or 360° full, with customer-selected slot width and length. Confirm performance of the finished slotted configuration. Solid-wall pipe is available for gravity conveyance.
Black is standard for drainage. Red telecom cable ducting is available on request in the GeoDuct offering; use unslotted pipe for cable protection. GeoPipe FS provides a filter-sock option subject to soil filtration requirements. Geosynthetics Africa coordinates supply, delivery and agreed installation and QA/QC scopes across South Africa and Africa; availability and lead time are confirmed per order.

Three Questions To Ask Before You Order
1.What sizes are available in GeoPipe and GeoPipe HD?
2.When should a filter sock be used?
3.Which coil lengths and slot patterns are available?
4.What does SN8 mean for GeoPipe HD?
5.Can you supply South Africa and other African countries?
Specification For The Design, Installation Of GeoPipe & GeoPipe HD - HDPE Subsoil Drainage Pipes to 315 mm
Excavate to the engineered depth, width and gradient. Select bedding and flexible-pipe support for the pipe, soil, groundwater and loading. Refer to the project specification and applicable buried-pipeline requirements, including SANS 10102-2 and SANS 2001-DP1 where specified.
Verify diameter, configuration and condition before laying. Orient partially slotted pipe using the product marking with the solid invert below: standard 270° lengths and HD 120° crown slots differ. Fully slotted coils or lengths collect around the circumference. Maintain coil bend radius of at least 15 × OD and inspect joint engagement.
Install compatible filter aggregate and geotextile or the specified sock arrangement. Filter selection must match soil and hydraulic requirements. Provide uniform side support and protect pipe and filtration layers against displacement or damage during backfill.
Backfill and compact to the approved sequence and cover before plant access. Verify gradient, outlet, inspection and flushing access. Record material identification, slot pattern, line and level, joints, filters, bedding and cover as the installation QA/QC record.
