GeoDuct HDPE Cable Ducting 50-315 mm
Double-wall corrugated HDPE conduit for buried fibre, telecoms and LV/MV power cables. Sizes 50-315 mm OD, with 6 m lengths and coils by diameter. Black standard; red for telecoms on request. Supply, delivery, installation and QA/QC support across South Africa and Africa.

Technical Specification of GeoDuct HDPE Cable Ducting 50-315 mm
GeoDuct is an unslotted double-wall HDPE conduit for underground fibre-optic, telecommunications and low- to medium-voltage power cable protection. Its ribbed outer wall provides structural support with low weight. Straight lengths have a smooth bore; coils use a lightly corrugated bore for winding.
Specify outside diameters of 50, 75, 110, 160, 200, 250 or 315 mm. Typical inside diameters are 40, 63, 95, 137, 173, 217 and 273 mm respectively. Standard straight lengths are 6 m in 75-315 mm; standard coils are 50 m in 50-160 mm. The 50 mm size is coil-only. Longer coils up to 1,250 m require diameter and production confirmation.
Black is standard; red is available for telecoms on request. State colour, size and format when ordering. Couplings and seals are available across the range; 200-315 mm sizes use integrated spigot-and-socket joints. Confirm plugs, spacers, chamber entries and bends by diameter.
SANS 61386-24 Class N identifies normal-duty impact performance. Compression resistance is ≥450 N for straight lengths and ≥250 N for coils at 5% internal-diameter deformation. These values are not an SN rating or a traffic-load approval. Installation depth and bedding must follow the engineered project specification.
Geosynthetics Africa supports cable infrastructure projects in South Africa and across Southern, East, West and Central Africa with supply, delivery, installation and QA/QC scopes agreed for each site. Use GeoPipe for slotted drainage and GeoPipe HD for larger SN8-base-pipe drainage collectors.

Three Questions To Ask Before You Order
1.What sizes of GeoDuct cable ducting are available?
2.Is GeoDuct available in black and red?
3.What lengths and coils can I order?

Specification For The Design, Installation Of GeoDuct HDPE Cable Ducting 50-315 mm
Set trench depth, width and cover from the approved design, allowing for cable thermal requirements and imposed loads. Prepare level, stone-free bedding with adequate support; do not infer permitted traffic load from the compression test value.
Uncoil progressively without twisting or kinking. Maintain at least 15 × OD bending radius for coils. Use diameter-matched spacers for duct banks and suitable bends where a tighter change of direction is required.
Clean ends and inspect couplings, sockets and seals. Fully engage each joint; fit the specified sealing ring where water or silt exclusion is required. Confirm joint suitability for the project rather than assuming every push-fit joint is watertight.
Keep open ends plugged during construction and provide a draw rope with adequate tails. Clear the bore before cable installation and record route and chamber locations.
Place suitable backfill evenly around ducts and compact in controlled layers. Cover before compaction equipment or construction traffic is permitted must be approved for the installation. Do not use nominally higher pipe stiffness to compensate for inadequate cover without design approval.
Use pulling equipment and lubricant compatible with the cable and duct. Respect the cable supplier’s bend and pulling-tension limits. Inspect bore continuity and retain a draw rope where specified.
Store coils flat and lengths on level supports away from sharp objects and unstable trench edges. UV stabilisation supports handling and storage; avoid prolonged sunlight exposure. Record delivery condition, product identification, bedding, jointing, cover and as-built route for QA/QC.
