Kasumbalesa & Sakania Corridor Freight to Lubumbashi & Kolwezi
Geosynthetics are supplied to the DRC by road freight from our Johannesburg hub, routed through Zambia and across the Kasumbalesa border into Haut-Katanga and Lualaba, with Sakania used as an alternative where congestion or load type makes it the better option. HDPE geomembrane, GCL, geogrid and geotextile consignments are loaded and secured for the corridor's road conditions, and roll sizes are matched to the offloading equipment available at site. Transit bonds are managed through the Zambian leg to avoid duty exposure in transit, and clearing is handled by appointed agents at the border. Large project volumes for tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads and haul road construction are scheduled against your construction programme, with indent manufacture planned well in advance of mobilisation.
Logistics Corridors
Johannesburg → Kasumbalesa → Lubumbashi → Likasi → Kolwezi · Alternative: Johannesburg → Sakania → Lubumbashi · Transit via Zambia under bond
Customs & Tariff Status
DGDA customs clearance with OCC inspection certificates and transit bond management through the Zambian corridor. Pre-shipment verification arranged where required, with commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin supplied in the format DGDA requires. Supply can be quoted ex-works Johannesburg, delivered to border, or delivered to site in Lualaba and Haut-Katanga with clearing and inland transport included.

Project Volume Supply for Copperbelt Mining Contracts
HDPE geomembrane, GCL, geogrid and geotextile stock is held at our Johannesburg warehouse for dispatch to Lualaba and Haut-Katanga, with container-direct supply on TSF, heap leach and haul road project volumes. Rolls ship in heavy-duty protective wrapping to withstand the Kasumbalesa corridor, and every consignment carries resin-to-roll traceability with mill certificates and laboratory test reports supplied against the project specification.

Large-Area Containment Lining & Seam Verification
Panels are deployed and welded to a pre-approved layout drawing, with automated dual-track wedge welders producing a twin seam and central air channel so every metre can be pressure tested non-destructively across the full cell. Extrusion welding covers detailing, patches and pipe penetrations. Trial welds are run at start of shift and at temperature change, destructive peel and shear samples are tested to specification, and results are recorded panel by panel in the QA/QC pack issued at handover.
TSF, Heap Leach & Haul Road Installation in Katanga & Lualaba
Our permanent DRC-based crews mobilise to mining sites across Haut-Katanga and Lualaba for HDPE geomembrane installation on tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, process and event ponds, and SX-EW containment areas, using automated dual-track wedge and extrusion welding with trial welds, destructive peel and shear testing, and non-destructive air pressure and vacuum box testing on every seam. We install GCL as composite underliner systems with overlap and hydration control to specification, and place geogrids and woven geotextiles for haul road, platform and ROM pad construction over soft lateritic subgrades. Crews work to site-specific safety and induction requirements on operating mines, and a full QA/QC pack with panel layout drawings, seam test records, destructive results and as-built documentation is issued on completion for engineer and client sign-off.

Liner Testing, Seam Verification & Mining House QA/QC
Every installation is executed against a project-specific QA/QC plan agreed with the client's engineer before deployment. Material conformance is verified on arrival against mill certificates and roll traceability records. Subgrade acceptance, anchor trench construction and panel layout are signed off prior to placement. Seams are verified by trial welds at start of shift and at significant temperature change, destructive peel and shear testing at the specified frequency, non-destructive air pressure testing of dual-track wedge seams, vacuum box testing on extrusion welds and detail work, and spark testing where a conductive liner is specified. GCL overlaps, hydration control and penetration detailing are inspected and recorded. The handover pack includes panel layout drawings, seam and destructive test records, material certificates and as-built documentation for engineer and mining house approval.
