Zambia Geosynthetics Supply
🇿🇲Copperbelt Mining & Agricultural Supply

Mine-spec HDPE liners, Mirafi® geotextiles and geogrids delivered across Zambia in 3–5 days.

Geosynthetics Africa supplies mine-spec HDPE liners, nonwoven geotextiles and geogrids to mining and agricultural operations across Zambia, with the Copperbelt as our primary service corridor. Material moves by road freight from Johannesburg via the Kazungula Bridge or Chirundu border posts, reaching Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe and Solwezi in 3–5 days. We handle ZRA clearing, ASYCUDA documentation and SADC tariff preference processing, so consignments cross without administrative hold-ups. Our specialisation is tailings storage facility lining, heap leach pads and agricultural reservoirs, with six field installation crews deploying on site and 100% seam verification on every joint. As an IAGI Installer member, we deliver certified installation standards and full QA/QC documentation on Zambian projects of any scale.

Chirundu & Kazungula Corridor Freight to Copperbelt

Consolidated road freight from Johannesburg into Zambia via the Kazungula Bridge or Chirundu border posts, serving Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe and Solwezi. Full container and part loads of HDPE liner, Mirafi geotextile and geogrid are dispatched against confirmed order, with roll dimensions and loading configuration planned to suit site access and offloading equipment.

Logistics Corridors

Johannesburg → Kazungula / Chirundu → Lusaka → Ndola → Kitwe → Solwezi

Customs & Tariff Status

ZRA clearing, ASYCUDA declaration and SADC Certificate of Origin processing handled on your behalf, with duty preference applied where the goods qualify. Documentation is prepared before the vehicle reaches the border so consignments are not held at Chirundu or Kazungula awaiting paperwork.

Copperbelt Mine Direct Delivery: Scheduled container and flatbed truck deliveries to major copper and cobalt mines.
Cross-Border Transport & Clearance

Cross-Border Transport & Clearance

Consignments move under our own freight arrangements with ZRA clearing and SADC Certificate of Origin handled in transit - no border delays for your project

Multi-Layer Liner Installation

Multi-Layer Liner Installation

Geomembrane, geotextile and drainage layers installed in sequence by a single crew, so interface details and anchor trenches are handled correctly.

Field Installation & Contracting

Mining TSF & Heap Leach Pad Lining in Zambia

Geosynthetics Africa installs primary and secondary geomembrane containment systems on tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, process water dams, evaporation ponds and agricultural reservoirs throughout the Copperbelt and North-Western Province. Our crews deploy and weld 1.0mm to 2.0mm smooth and textured HDPE liner, LLDPE liner where differential settlement is expected, GCL bentonite liners for composite barrier designs, Mirafi non-woven geotextile for cushioning and separation, and uniaxial and biaxial geogrids for embankment and haul road reinforcement. Every seam is produced by dual-track hot wedge welding with air pressure channel testing, and extrusion welding is used on detail work, penetrations and repairs. Installation is executed to GRI-GM13 and the project CQA specification, with anchor trenching, subgrade acceptance, panel layout and destructive test scheduling documented from mobilisation through to as-built handover. From liner supply to signed-off installation, one accountable contractor carries the containment scope - which is what removes the interface risk that costs mines time when supply and installation sit with separate parties.

Quality Control & Standards Compliance

Independent-Grade CQA Documentation & Field Testing Records

Every installation is executed under a written construction quality assurance plan aligned to GRI-GM13 and ASTM D6392, with conformance testing beginning before the first panel is deployed. Incoming rolls are checked against mill certificates and sampled for thickness, density and asperity height where textured liner is specified, and subgrade is formally accepted and signed off before deployment proceeds. Trial welds are run at the start of each shift, after every four-hour interval and on any change in ambient conditions or operator, with tensiometer peel and shear coupons tested to specification acceptance criteria and recorded against the weld machine, operator and temperature settings in use. All fusion seams receive 100% air pressure channel testing at the specified pressure and hold duration, extrusion seams and detail work receive 100% vacuum box testing, and destructive samples are cut at the frequency set by the CQA specification and retained for laboratory verification. Non-conformances are logged, capped or repaired, re-tested and closed out on the panel layout drawing, so the record shows not only what passed but what failed, what was done about it and who signed it off. The deliverable at handover is a bound as-built package - panel layout, seam log, trial weld register, destructive test results, repair register, material certificates and daily site records - in the form your CQA consultant, engineer of record or regulator expects to receive it.
